We’ve been customers at BMW Encinitas for a few years now and we couldn’t be happier. The dealership and it’s service department is wonderful, but the main reason we’ve had such a remarkable experience is because of a Service Manager there named Joey. Sadly, he recently transferred to a different dealership location. But based on the amazing service experience we’ve had with Joey over the years, we’ll be customers for life. He provided us the type of personal care and customer service that they write about in business and marketing books. The type of service the creates lifelong relationships with customers. Whenever my wife has had to bring her car in for service, she did so with zero worry because she was 100% confident she’d be taken care of and we could count on the best service and work on her beloved car possible. She happened to bring her car in for work the Joey was transferring and she let him know how disappointed she was to hear this. To make sure we were ok, after services were complete, Joey even took the time to call and reassure me that his team and service department manager, Mikey, would continue to make sure that we were always well taken care of and that nothing would change on their end — so we had nothing to worry about. Talk about going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. It doesn’t get any better than this. Thanks so much to Joey, Mikey, and the entire BMW Encinitas service team. You guys are the best!!!

My husband and I were looking for a used Honda Pilot. After visiting Honda dealerships in National City and Mission Valley and looking at the quality at National City by and high prices at the one in Mission Valley, I never image to find the cleanest Pilot at a BMW dealership. We texted the dealership to make sure the Pilot I was interested was still available. Few minutes later we recieved a called back from Ben Regis. Upon arrival, Ben was really helpfull with the buying process.explain everything and anwers all of our questions.What we loves that it was a no haggle pricing car dealership and the Pilot we were looking for was priced correctly. Finally, a BMW location with friendly customer service and filled with knowledge!! I was so very welcomed and treated with respect. My Service rep was awesome, Mike Voiles!!! He explained to me in detail the work that was needing to be done on my car, worked with my warranty company to file claims and helped arrange a loaner car for me. I'm an engineer and LOVE my car, so always want to know the technical stuff and exactly what is going on with my car ....and Mike did that. He didn't dumb it down for me, just explained it to me in his terms and I appreciated that SO much! He even listed out options for me to consider, helped prioritize the severity of the work that needed to be done and gave me a day to think about it... with no pressure. I wish I had came here sooner for my service needs! THANK YOU!

I have had very good experiences at the Encinitas BMW. Staff has always been gracious, courteous and have gone out of their way to be sure I am happy with every detail of my experience there. I've always been provided with a very nice loaner car, brand new cars! I couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend them, from the purchase, (Nicholas handed the sale beautifully, went out of his way for me)to the oil changes (Byron is a pleasure to work with, funny and kind) and everything in-between, 5 stars.

I am back to this location because of my previous experience with Vincent. This time I met with a gentleman named Adham. I knew going in what I wanted and had my mind set on my needs and I think he could sense that. This is my fifth BMW so I am very familiar with them and we negotiated my trade in and made it clear and cut about what it would take for me to obtain the new vehicle. Adham made it happen and was not pushy and let me do my thing. Less than 4 hours later I drove out with another BMW and so far it has been awesome. This dealership has been consistent with their customer service and will be back in a couple years again to upgrade.

I called ahead to find out if the car I was interested in was available. I was told yes and it would be ready for viewing in 20 minutes. I drove over it took over 25 minutes before anyone acknowledge my arrival. I never saw the guy that told me the car was available. I had a different sales person finally help me. In the middle of the negotiation he was replaced by a different sales person. When I requested to see a different color car it took almost 30 minutes to locate the car. The negotiation was endless and not till I told him I was going to walk away did he agreed on the price I was told was impossible. I purchase the car and they could not find the spare key. The show room was freezing. I was also told that they were no after market items to purchase which was also not accurate since the maintenance package did not cover the breaks on the car and had to be purchase separately . I have purchase over 30 cars in my life tome this was one of the worse dealerships I have come across

Mike took such god care of me, he made sure that it was ACTUALLY worth it for me to get the warranty extension on my car before I got it (turns out, it WASN’T worth it, so he saved me several hundreds of dollars!!). Made sure my car was washed before returning it to me as well, and explained everything simply and clearly when I had questions. If I could give him 10 stars on this, I would. Thank you, Mike! We had never owned a BMW before and honestly had never planned on it, but after a lot of searching around on various car shopping sites and car dealership sites, BMW Encinitas had a car that fit everything that I wanted in a car. We put in a request to test drive it in the online form and about 10 minutes later we got a phone call from Ben, our sales rep, to confirm. The car was everything we were looking for and at a great price. We also were trading in our car. Ben was exceptional with his detailed explanations and his friendliness. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door. After everything was hammered out we were walked back to the finance department and the finance guy could not have been more friendly and funny and made the whole experience feel like we absolutely made the right decision on where to buy this car and the car we bought. We have bought a lot of cars over the years and never have we had the level of service shown to us by Ben and I hate to call him the finance guy but I think his name was Dabe. I mean it was on a whole other level. Ben took the time to help.us get everything out of.our trade in. He sat in our new car and took the time to show us all the features and how they worked. The night before we were super nervous of what to expect because we have never had any experience with a luxury car dealership, but now I don't care what kind of car we are buying, I would head to BMW Encinitas to do it. They set the bar so high for salesmanship and integrity and making you feel confident in your purchase. I've never driven a car off the lot feeling like I got a good deal, I got a good car, and they were genuinely happy to put me in that car. Well done to whoever runs that show there. Exemplary performance by every employee we came in contact with.

I found my car online and called to schedule a test drive. They were busy that day and was given the keys to test drive and check the car inside and out at my leisure. It was great not to feel rushed. David our rep was friendly and easy to talk to, zero typical salesman BS. They do not haggle on price at all but was promised they would buff out some surface scratches. We left satisfied and after a couple weeks of more car searches we returned to purchase the car. I secured a rate at a local bank and asked if they could match the rate I would purchase that day. After some paperwork they returned with a sheet to sign with the rate we discussed. But upon entering the finance office there was a disconnect. The finance rep was friendly but not privy to any of the discussion or rates previously agreed upon. This was disappointing as the deal was based on this rate. I work in sales with deals equal to and far exceeding the price of cars and would not (hate to say it) bait and switch my clients with transactions this large. We ultimately did buy the car. They had the ONLY car with the specific trim level and options I was looking for in all of southern california. We are happy with our decision with the small caveat. Please communicate with your dealer to make sure they honor the details prior to sitting in the finance office or talk to the finance rep before. All other facets of the experience were great though. 4 stars

My service light came on and indicated something about brake fluid. I called Encinitas BMW right away and asked if I could come by so they could look at the warning light and tell me what I needed to do as I didn't know what it meant and anything about brakes and brake fluid is kind of scary. As usual, Amanda said bring it by without even any hesitation. That is one of the things about Encinitas BMW that has never changed; they are always ready to accept you if you have any kind of problem or concern. They told me what it was it was a minor problem, did have to be addressed and advised that it was one of those quick services and that I could just call, make an appt, bring the car in and it would only take an hour or so which meant I didn't have to get a loaner or anything. Several days later I called Keith who is my person and he said bring it by and I did just that. It took about an hour I stayed and waited and had coffee and the next thing I know they're driving my car back out all washed shiny and clean and serviced. There is no place like BMW Encinitas and I have gone to them for many many years. As I mentioned Keith is my person and he always always solves the problem big or small. I am very grateful to him and for BMW Encinitas to always be there as a beacon of safety and service.

Everything was completed in a timely manner; the job wasn't rushed to completion but was done right. I live in San Jose and purchased a brand new BMW X5 PHEV which was to be delivered to me. The dealership totally misled me in selling me a vehicle that had 400 more miles than quoted. They also poorly communicated with me in who had to be present to take delivery and how the vehicle was to be delivered. 1 week later and I still have also not recieved any paperwork as to the contract or the extended warranty purchased. If you are considering doing business with BMW Encinitas, I would be very careful when dealing with them; get everything in writing, check everything before signing and dont believe a word they say!

This is how car buying should be. Ordered the car online at my local dealer in LA. I was told 6 - 8 weeks so I checked BMW Encinitas and they had a great selection. Lo and behold they had the car with my specs in their lot. Spoke with Adham on the phone, really nice guy and very accommodating. Finally drove down there from LA. Adham did not waste any of my time. I test drove a BMW 10 years ago and said I could never drive one because I have such bad back issues and back then, the ride was stiff and fast. In April 2020, my neighbor convinced me that I should go drive one because they are different now and I was tired of my lexus (especially tired of the lack of technology) but I stuck with them bc of comfort. I bought an X5 bc it is THE MOST COMFORTABLE suv I’ve ever driven. Over the last 8 months between buying my X5, having a hitch installed, getting my car cleaned, having a genius appt for the digital inside....this place is a class act. The general sales manager, Darrin, the service managers, Byron and Michael, and Nicholas, who showed me every single thing about the car when I was buying it, are all incredible. I’ve never bought a car from a place and had such a great experience from start to finish. Plus, I drove it across country in June and came back in August and I feel so lucky to have had this car for comfort, speed, pickup, and the handling through the different climates and roads. I bought/leased in Encinitas, CA and highly recommend them and the X5.

Very disappointed by the sales person. I made an appointment and emailed ahead of time spelling out the car and features I wanted to look at, and explaining that I wanted to minimize the risk associated with The pandemic. Thus, I asked that our current car be appraised while we test drove a car to minimize our time indoors. I also asked to test drive the car without a sales person. None of this happened. She was unprepared when we got there and frequently asked questions that I had just addressed. She seemed not to pay attention. She also kept wearing her mask below her nostrils, something that is dangerous. And she insisted on riding with us on the test drive. Audi allowed me to test drive the car without a salesperson. Consequently we were exposed to much greater than necessary risk. Finally we found that the car did not have an owner’s manual when we got home. It’s now a few days later and we still don’t have a manual. In contrast to all this, the finance person was wonderful and efficient so that we got out of his office quickly. We love this dealership and have bought several cars there. But this experience was barely adequate.

I was on a search for low priced BMW that would be an upgrade to my rapidly failing commuter. I came across an add for a 2011 3 series below what my budget was set for a replacement vehicle located at Encinitas BMW. The car is gorgeous!!! I submitted an inquiry and received a call within 20 minutes from Jordan Anguiano from BMW. He was extremely patient and understanding through the process of me buying this vehicle. I recently went through a surgery with the ability to speak being minimal. Jordan worked with me via text for 90% of the transaction, allowed my wife to bring me the car to test drive from my house, and took care of all my concerns prior to delivering the vehicle. I believe one of, if not, the main reason for my amazing experience was Art Alvarez, my service rep. I actually brought my car in for the recall for an airbag and some other minor things and then like seems to happen for a car nearing 70K I got the list of things that needed replacement. Turbo, head gasket, coolant tank, etc... Ok I know what you might think - don't trust the dealer! But I luckily had bought an extended warranty for my car when I purchased it... I asked Art if he could talk to them and see if it's covered. So here is where the dance starts. I knew I needed the repairs, there was oil leaking badly, but I could not afford over 8K in repairs. An adjuster had to come out and look at the car and then Art had conversations back and forth as the adjuster tried not to pay, but Art stood firm and advocated for me.. In the end, guess what, I paid my $100 deductible and that is it!! New turbo, head gasket, engine parts, coolant tank, etc... and all labor. So of course the adjust would never have approved anything if they hadn't seen the need, so forget that somehow the dealer made things up. The main thing here is that Art knew how to advocate and stay calm and got it all approved... This is why you go to a dealer that knows what they are doing, and if you go here... ask for Art and tell him I said hi.. During the 2 weeks my car was there, he kept in touch with me... of course they gave me a courtesy car so I was all take care of... This was not just a 5/5 experience, it was 100/100. Thanks Art!!!!

I called to obtain a quote for a low beam front headlight that was out. They provided the quote but when I got there they said the price would be different. However, the rep I spoke to came over and made it right and stated that he did indeed provide the quote I had stated. Everything worked out and service was done quick. The car was also cleaned. If you read through other reviews you will see that what happened to me has happened to others. November 2019 I purchased a used car. After 9 months, I still don’t own the car and it has not been registered under my name (according to DMV). I called sales manager, finance manager …etc with no results and they NEVER call back 😔(Bob, Steve, Matt, Amber DMV relation). What kind of customer service is this? I called the dealership to speak with the general manager, a man (GMC!) named Justin gets on the phone who is not the general manager and rude. He tells me that he is as high as we are going to get. I explain what’s going on and he tells me “next week it will be ok” which to me means they do not have any ideas what is wrong. I spoke to BMW North America, they said it was really up to the dealer. Please review online reviews and look at the BBB before giving these snakes your business. I did deal with BMW San Diego and Escondido in the past 20yrs without any issues (THANK YOU). I will be sharing my experience with every single one to prevent them from doing business with BMW Vista ($250 did steal from me in 2018, the money I never received) or BMW Encinitas who does not have any morals or respect to their customers! And guess what, Both Vista and Encinitas are running by the same team/GM. I’m going to post this in all social media/customer review and save you time and $$$.

I came in for a minor collision repair and I spoke with Cheri WardSchnekc. While my car was in I asked if there was anything she could do to make it look better since it’s been sitting out and not garaged for the last year and a half. After having a horrific experience leasing a BMW X5 from BMW of Palm Springs, I must say that I wasn't expecting much better coming out to Encinitas (thinking that all BMW dealerships must be shady). However, I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit and transaction yesterday here. Shout out to Nicolas Muñoz & Ben Regis (sales), Andrew Wood (finance manager), and Stephen Sawyer (GSM) whom I've had the pleasure of dealing with personally at this dealership. These guys really take care of their people like family! I had actually been looking to get a BMW 430i convertible for the past year or so - and two friends local to the desert connected me to Nick at BMW of Encinitas who was very patient and informative when it came to presenting me different car options for some months over the phone. Fast forward to late June 2020 - getting close to my lease maturity date. I happened to see a certified pre-owned 430i convertible that was pretty loaded (to meet my needs), with low mileage online sold at this location. I inquired about it and got connected with Ben Regis shortly thereafter, and he was very responsive and great with helping me get the process started even though I live two hours away. Reserved the car just for me, and set a time to meet. Early Saturday morning I arrive, and everything went very efficiently & smoothly (almost too smoothly for me to believe nothing was about to go wrong lol; I was literally ready to drive back home in the X5... ha!). To my delight though, the car looked as sexy as she did in photos, drove like a dream, and the dealership went through with their word and waived my end-lease disposition fee and other termination fees that my hometown dealership was trying to take advantage of me from. Andrew Wood over at finance even hooked me up with a $500 rebate (I guess for BMW loyalty?) - SO awesome! He was also not annoyingly pushy about trying to sell me extra packages like most finance managers are from my experience, BUT he was informative and gave me choices. Just how they all should be. Thank you for going above and beyond! At this point, I'm just waiting for everything to officially clear on the closing of the X5 lease (anticipating finalized paperwork in the mail to ensure I don't somehow get charged anything more that I shouldn't be), and my second key to the 430i convertible that was promised, but I don't anticipate any issues (hopefully)! BMW of PS will never see me again now because I'll be going back to BMW of Encinitas for my BMW needs ;) I will also be referring all my friends & family in Southern California to BMW of Encinitas!!!

These [non-permissible content removed] tried to sell me a used car for the MSRP of a new car. Apparently if you buy a car previously driven by a sales manager, the value of that car goes up. The internet sales manager slashed the price of the x5 from 73k to 62k. Only to present me with the finance and lease options of the car based on the 73k price. Ladies and gentlemen, this dealership has employees that all have PHDs in finance. Not only that, they had me waiting for this used car to arrive at the dealer for 3 hours, all during the COVID pandemic. (FYI, non of them wore protective masks) They made cynical remarks towards the car I currently drive. It’s funny because they are all walking around in suits taking pictures of the threads on my tires for a trade in appraisal. To be 100% clear here, dude your wearing a suit, on your knees, taking pictures of the bottom of my car, while your making fun of it? The dealer doesn’t even pay you enough to afford a BMW. I mean come on guys. Get off your hot air ballon and put your two feet back down on the ground. Of course they did not get the sale from me. These guys are all a joke. They don’t sell cars, they waste time. BMW of Encinitas, the new circus for clowns:)

I had to get oil for my X3. My experience with BMW Encinitas was amazing. Mike did answer my email after business hours and called me first thing in the morning. In times of Covid-19 he made sure I was safe. As soon as I arrived Mike came outside, got the oil for me and filled up my engine oil. I didn?t have to get out of the car. Thank you Mike! I was helped by Byron with my warranty repair. The warranty is thru a third party and was really difficult to deal with. Byron is beyond professional, friendly and the ultimate customer service rep you can ask for!! He managed the process from start to finish and made sure to keep me up to date on a regular basis. I had an excellent experience buying a 2019 540i and then a 2020 X7 M50i from BMW of Encinitas. Justin Beck, a manager, was a pleasure to work with and bent over backwards to get the deal done and give me honest, educated advice and explain things if/when I had questions. Nichols, a salesperson, could not have been more knowledgeable, patient, and eager to teach us the various new tech aspects of the car, as well as help us search all of BMW's inventory for the car we wanted. These are excellent, professional gentlemen who treated us very well and did their job well by making repeat customers out of us. StAY AWAY! SO UNPROFESSIONAL got 2018 X6 after driving the car for a year we realized it has steering wheel heater, but it wouldn’t turn on properly so I took it to service department. After 9-10 days I pick up my car and realized both right and left side of my wheel feels super scratchy it felts like it was burned and still the heater on the steering wheel wasn’t working so I took the car back at first they didn’t want to accept the fact that around my wheel is burned and kept telling me that the leather hasn’t broken in even though it only felt that way on certain part of the wheel after insisting they told ke that an engineer specialist from BMW needs check it. I was told to bring the car on 10th of February but I received an email saying bring it on the 3rd I leave a review of my fraustrating experiences and I get a phone call from the manager Rob asking me to remove the comment since the issue has been solved which I did. Afer 2 weeks of picking up the car I realized yet again it STILL DOESNT WORK!! And they put a comment on the documents customer brought the car one week early which I only followed the appointment date THEY give me.

The service department is truly amazing here 100% and the dealership has been nothing but amazing to me. They truly care about the customer. My new service advisor Junior has been working with me because my car needs a new engine. He's kept constant contact and always updated me on what was going on. He's a great service advisor. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to help the customer. When I returned the loaner I made sure to have my team detail the car before I returned it and checked all tire pressure because I appreciate their kindness. He's very transparent throughout the entire procedure. I highly recommend him as a service advisor along with Jay as well. These workers are really nice here so please be decent humans because they are there to help you with your needs 100%. Out of all of the service departments I e been to across the board of different car makes... BMW of Encinitas is by far the best. When I have to have the car service I feel a sense of trust and not the thought of being screwed over. Their attitudes are positive here. Whenever I decide to buy another car I plan on doing business with then as long as they can make it work and work with Ben in sales.

This is my 4th Alpina B7 BMW and by far the 2020 model is the most impressive performance sedan I have ever driven. The fit/finish is superb and the performance of 600 hp with 597 torque is just so much fun! I LOVE THIS rocket sedan! Alpina Blue with tan interior is just classic. Our sales guy Nicholas and Finance guy Eddie made our purchase a fun and simple process. Nicholas knew everything about the car and spent the time we needed. I brought my 2015 335i in for a glitchy driver's side door lock. The part took ~10 days to arrive, but my advisor, Byron Furrow, updated me every day and offered to put me in a loaner whenever I needed it. Fortunately the part came in on New Year's Eve, and the car was ready to be picked up later that day! I have had only 5 star service experiences at this store, and I would recommend Byron to anyone.

My most recent experience with the BMW of Encinitas service center was an absolute 10/10!! Nicole was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in the door I was warmly greeted by her and she was very detailed and reassuring in explaining what was going to be happening with my car and how long they would need to repair it. Even with the holidays the service team was so fabulous at keeping me updated with my cars status and made the necessary fixes to my car fairly quick. The service team at BMW of Encinitas was overall, kind, welcoming, and reassuring. I?ve been around cars, dealerships, private repair shops and specialty speed shops for over 33 years. In that time, I have had many pleasant experiences and some unpleasant experiences. However, I can honestly say that my service experience at BMW of Encinitas was probably the best ever. My Service Adviser, Mr. Joey Cruz was phenomenal. His knowledge, communication and empathy were all greatly appreciated. I knew the status of my car at every step of their process. The car was towed in with a water pump leak and three days later, I drove it three hours on mountain roads feeling very secure in doing so. A loner car was provided without my needing to request it. The entire process was flawless and Joey provided me a discount which will be helpful around this Holiday season. I don?t want my car to ever need work, but if it does and for routing maintenance, I?m taking it to BMW Encinitas.

I was promised a second key to my 2019 BMW X5 in June when I bought the car from BMW Encinitas. It's December now and the promised key has not arrived despite several emails and phone calls. Also during the finance transition I felt pressured by the sales associate to sign a paper that had increased the agreed upon price. When they tried to enforce the increase in price I almost walked away from the deal. It took more than 5 hours at the dealership, which was much longer than an auto purchase should take.☹️ Shame on you BMW Encinitas.

I have taken my X5 in two times for the same issue. The second time, there was a verbal commitment to get the repair done in three days. 10 days and several phone call later it was finally complete. I do not appreciate excuses....there were far too many from the service rep. In addition, it seems to me that the dealership is woefully understaffed in service.

Recently I had a Service Light come on in my 2018 BMW X5. I had a limited amount of time where I could have it serviced as I needed to both drop off my wife and pick her up a Doctor's Appointment and needed to complete the entire service process in one hour. I’ve been in a lot of dealerships over the years and this is by far the busiest dealership I have ever been in. But even as busy as they were I had somebody helping me right away. I had been looking at a car for a week or so and had made the decision to buy it. It was a beautiful almost new BMWX1 .I really love the car. I’ve had Porsches, Mercedes Benz, Range Rovers and Toyotas. Because of work I have been driving primarily Toyota trucks most of the time. Having just retired, this is a great sporty car then I can still carry people and cargo in the back. It is always a longer experience than you imagine but they did a great job of getting me out of there as quickly as they could. My wife and I traveled from Colorado to San Diego, CA in August, 2019 while on vacation. We took our 745Li to BMW of Encinitas because of a transmission default service code that was affecting our car's performance. We were told that we had to pay the $175. diagnosis fee to find out what the problem was. We had excellent service, dropping off and picking up our car, but they recommended brakes and nothing else major. On our way back to Colorado, the transmission code continued to affect the performance of our car. We had a stressful ride home. We took our car directly to BMW of Colorado Springs, CO upon return. They found that the transmission was empty of fluid, and we had to buy a new transmission pan, cost of $900. plus another diagnosis fee and labor. I requested a refund from BMW of Encinitas for the diagnosis fee charge, and was told by my service adviser Brian that it was my fault that the ticket / service order to the mechanic did not state for them to check the transmission and they refused to return my money. I did not mind paying the service fee, but I do mind being taken advantage of... and do not think it was fair. We would not recommend this dealership for being reliable. Because of their negligence, our family could have gotten stuck in the desert on our way home. The mechanic in Colorado were amazed that we made it back home.

This is the 3rd BMW lease, but my 1st experience with Encinitas. I came here because they had the car I wanted in the color I liked. 4/27 I swapped out my old lease at Encinitas. All miles over were to be washed away, there was no balance to be carried onto my new deal. Over the next couple months I continued getting calls from BMW financial saying my old vehicle was not out of my name. I contacted my sales rep (Esan) 2-3 times regarding this issue, the last was 6/24 when I received a notice from the DMV. I was again reassured by Esan this was taken care of. Then last week I start getting phone calls from a DEBT COLLECTOR. Telling me I owe over $1100 to BMW financial. I am livid, I have never experienced such incompetence from a "premium brand" like this. 8/19 I get a call from Darrin telling me he's going to pay BMW financial for the miles over, acts like he's doing me a huge favor by fixing a problem that never should've happened. As if my contract is contingent on taking down truthful negative reviews about his dealership. Today I get ANOTHER call from a debt collector. I will never do business here again. I've now contacted an attorney regarding this issue, thankfully (unlike others reviewing here) I and my husband kept the texts from Esan saying he was going to take care of the old miles. Great overall experience. Varlin, our sales rep. and Darren, the General Manager were excellent to deal with. Both were transparent and made the sales process a very pleasant one. Darren even helped us get things corrected, the day after I took delivery of my M4, to make our deal the one which was promised to us following some misunderstanding between other staff members who were filling in for Varlin since we arrived late in the evening from about 4 hours away to take delivery of my car. Varlin and Darren are a true representation of transparency and great customer service and more than made up for the clear misunderstanding the night I took delivery of my vehicle. This is likely number 10 or so of BMW's which my family has leased in the past 10 or so years; this was my first experience with BMW Encinitas and as long as they have people like Varlin and Darren there, I will definitely be shopping my next BMW from them again.

I had two odd noises come up in the 2016 435i that I just purchased, both intermittent. The 2nd came up after the first one was diagnosed right the first time and repaired under warranty. The next one was a real mystery, but the tech figured it out as we came back from the test drive. It turns out I had a dime stuck in the A/C vent under my seat. I'm very happy with the the customer service and the quality mechanics at BMW of Encinitas.

This week MY Service Department at the store where I purchased my X1 in 2016 was magnificent! I had a recurring electrical problem on the dash after an initial std. service and inspection. Required a couple of loaner cars, separate days, offered by them (as I come in from N. Vista). The problem was complex and required involved troubleshooting. The customer service provided by the Service Dept. is a 10+. My Service Rep was Byron Furrow- a nice man who seemed genuinely concerned about my experience. He was able to have my beautiful X1 detailed, in and out as a complimentary gesture. It was the best I have seen my car since it was on the lot. The manager even gave it a thorough additional test to verify the fix. He observed a diff problem developing and had THAT fixed as well. Neither of these guys had to do what they did but I surely appreciated it. Byron is a star player with your organization. I tell all looking for a new car or dealership about Encinitas BMW.

I have been leasing BMWs since 2007. And I basically dealt with most dealerships in San Diego. This has been by far the worst experience I have had with a BMW dealership! On the surface, they are extremely nice and they promise you the moon. They are not rough and standoffish. Instead, they are all smiles and are very “accommodating to your needs”. That is when you should be very careful! As I mentioned, I have leased several cars over the years: usually when the lease is near its end, I start shopping around. Historically, the dealers are able to waive the remaining 2-3 months of the old lease. I never had that in writing, it was understood to be a part of the deal. This time, BMW of Encinitas said that they will do the same, and since it happened 4 times before, (especially with all their smiles) I let my guard down against my best judgment. I DID NOT GET THAT PART OF THE AGREEMENT IN WRITING. After the new car deal was signed, the confusion started: initially they tried to have me pay for repairs covered by the warranty. The second time they called me to sign the (end of lease paperwork) and after waiting for 20 minutes they claimed that the papers are not ready and made up some excuse. Then they called the next day and said “we are good”. 2 weeks later, the bill came and BMW is now asking for the remainder of the lease payments! It took me a week to speak to someone in the dealership in person, and by then of course they denied that it is their responsibility. They claimed that it is a “misunderstanding”. I mostly blame myself for not being vigilant and letting my guard down and not having the agreement in writing. I considered taking them to court, but since (other some texts from their salesperson) I have no proof of their promises, I opted not to. I am writing this review to alert other potential customers of the behavior of this dealership. They are either predatory or very disorganized. I really can’t decide. Either way, PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DON’T BE FOOLED BY THEIR SMILES LIKE I DID! I think this will be my last BMW. This dealership really has turned me off this brand. And the worst part, I am not able to enjoy my new car. Every time I look at it, I remember this negative experience!

The only pressure we felt came at the time to consider an extended warranty. Even that was resolved most amicably. There was one miscue though. Somehow, we left without the temporary registration and tags that we saw printed. Other than that, the time needed to complete the paperwork somehow needs to be streamlined.

Took my car in to have 3 recalls repaired. Said it should take a day - didn’t hear from them for 5 days and that was only because I called. Picked my car up and was given a list of things that needed to be done such as replace the battery that was bought at that dealership three years ago. When I questioned what was wrong with the battery they didn’t have a solid answer. (Note: both service men were nice and responsive, this review is only for the dealership). As I walked to my car I noticed a big dent and paint chipped off my brand new bumper. The service guy that helped me said they would take car of it, but I would need to keep my loaner car until it gets fixed. Someone at that dealership drove my car and hit something, or another employee drove by and hit my car. Never reported the incident. Didn’t have enough respect for someone else’s personal property to report it and fix it. How many other customers left that dealership with dents/scratches on their cars unnoticed because we leave are nice cars with what we thought was a respectable dealership.

Drove 80 miles south from OC to buy a particular m5 model this dealership had that fit my criteria on miles/price/color. I noticed some of the poor reviews here but my experience with BMW Encinitas was pretty good. The personnel here is chill and casual. I find that if you're kind and understanding, it generally gets you better treatment than acting entitled and snotty - not that I'm saying anyone else was like that. Sales and service notes below. Sales: Jeffery Partridge (front end emails) & Juan Duff (at the dealership) both helped me acquire my dream ride. Jeff worked out detailed financing scenarios for me over email before I even committed to a visit & Juan filled my new m5 tank full, set me up with a complementary service appointment & ordered a missing owners manual from German HQ. Service: Joe Amrikhas made sure to get me in and out of the appointment quickly so I didn't have to make a second trip back. He's cool and got it done for me no stress. Overall I noticed that this dealership doesn't have the best in terms of space and facilities compared to other SoCal dealerships, but that's not on the people who work here. The people here seem chill and will go the extra mile if you ask nicely and are not a jerk about things.

Not only did our our appointment time start as planned, both vehicles were waiting and clean to be test driven. We chose the one we liked and the paperwork got started and we were done!!!!! We were in and out in less than 3 hours because everything was handled so perfessionally and quickly yet we didn't feel rushed. I was pressured into purchasing their extended maintenance warranty. They said I could cancel whenever I wanted for a full refund. I started down the quest of canceling the extended warranty just a couple weeks later. It is now August 2018 and I have been trying to get my refund ever since. I've call them and went into the dealership countless times and each time they say they'll look into it and make sure I get refunded. Eventually I wrote a letter asking for the refund, otherwise, I'll see them in small claims court. Crickets! Unfortunately now I have to waste more of my time trying to get my money through the courts. Avoid this dealership like the plague!

The WORST service department EVER!!! Brought my leased car in because it was not driving smoothly (never really did) was told I needed all new tires after 13,000 miles. Then told it was out of alignment and that would cost $1,650. Tried to charge me for alignment after the $1,650 again. The sales manager never called me back, was told he is too busy selling cars. Got some "fixer" guy to call me back and basically just bully me. Payed them for the tires + having the other work done elsewhere. I do not like BMW of Encinitas at all.

It's very unfortunate in today's day, (when it is paramount to have quality customer service,) BMW Encinitas FAILS completely in this department! I purchased a BMW from them awhile ago, and EVERY single time I have brought it in for service, MATT "director of services" has been completely rude and combative. This is definitely uncalled for. He is short tempered, argumentative, and just simply unpleasant to deal with. We have so many qualified people in this world, that would love to have his job...and perform it with quality assurance! He must be friends or related to the owner, because ANYONE in HR or management/staff would have fired someone like him, years ago! Looking at these reviews on an average, there is a combination of between 1 to 3 stars ratings, with most being in the 1 category. If you figure the average BMW sells for about 65 thousand dollars, the company is losing about 1.3 million in sales, because of poor service. Even my own Father, who has experienced this rude behavior at Encinitas BMW, was going to purchase a new car...and decided THAT DAY, to buy a brand new Lexus...just a few days ago! I found the exact OPPOSITE when I visited Long Beach BMW. First of all, their service department is gorgeous, NEW, clean, and welcoming...with complimentary coffee and snacks (in the service department. NOT SALES). They were helpful, considerate, and really genuine with my concerns and needs. I mentioned to them my experience with Encinitas BMW, and they said they have heard the same story about Encinitas being impolite, disrespectful, and just flat out rude! Being a woman who values honesty, loyalty, and kindness, I never leave negative comments about establishments, ( I just simply do not return and warn my friends and followers about it)....but in this case, it has happened too many times at BMW Encinitas...and I feel people should BE AWARE! Take your business elsewhere please.

Purchased the 328i used for my daughter because I thought it was a reliable car. She has had minor problems that took her to dealer more than expected. The latest was faulty coils and spark plugs (Had her mechanic who is close by to where she lives fix 2 on separate occasions since she was afraid to drive the distance to BMW location in LA area and didn't know that BMW would replace all 6 due to not getting a notice these coils were faulty) that caused her problems on 3 different occasions that resulted in her just about getting home each time. Strange there was no recall on the coils although BMW no longer uses these coils according to service reps statement to me (Nicole). When she brought car in to have all 6 coils replaced free under smog warranty in CA (only knew this since I called BMW to get a quote on replacing the 3rd coil malfunction), they found a lower radiator hose leaking that would cost over $600 to replace (HMMMM). Brought the car to my personal mechanic and it was not the lower hose but a upper one. He fixed it for $225. Tried to get BMW to refund the $400 she spent on replacing the first 2 coils was a waste of my breath).

We purchased our first new BMW here. I was initially attracted to the location because they have the most of the M line when running searches. Adham was our sales person. He was very attentive to our needs and was able to answer all questions or find a way to get the answer if he did not have it. He made our experience a very enjoyable one. Overall, if you are looking for the higher-end BMWs, this seems to be the location for San Diego. Other dealerships when I inquired did not have the M line. One, not to mention, even told me it would be a special order.

I bought a certified M4 with engine light on, since I have to go back to San Jose on that day, I did not do the repair in the dealership. I was told that I could check this issue in local BMW. When I check this out in BMW Steven creek last week, it was caused by broken wires near the engine(most likely caused by rodent damage) with a repair quote of 2900 dollars. I contact the sales manager in Encinitas today and try to figure sth out. He told me that it has been too long and too many miles were used. He refused to take the responsibility for the damage. This is a below 10000 mile certified M4 and between the day that I purchased it and last week, it didn't need to be serviced. Except the engine light was on(the sales man told me 'it's a certified car, it could be just short circuit cased it'), and I didn't encounter any problem while I was driving. Therefore, I didn't go to the local BMW until it needs to be serviced. The local BMW pinpoint the cause of this issue and it was the broken wires. Except that, there is no other reasonable explanation and the light was on since I bought it from BMW Encinitas. Yet, Mr. general sales manager in Encinitas refused to take any responsibility.(When I asked to talk to the someone else in charge of this issue, he said he's the boss and there is no one else I can talk to). I bought my first BMW three years ago. The local BMW has always performed good care to my car and great services. I trust BMW in their good service and work standard before this incident. Thats the reason I chose certified cars and clearly my trust is misplaced. Whats the difference between 'certified' and 'used' in BMW Encinitas? A certified M4 with less than 10000 miles has proven to have broken wires near its engine. Good luck with the 'used' car bought from this place.

I came to the dealership after looking at other dealerships and private sellers. I came when I was very exhausted from looking. I arrived to the BMW dealership in Encinitas with my uncle (He knows much more about cars than I do). In the begging we looked at a Toyota but I didn't "feel the vibe". I told Jeff I wanted a "sexier" car, so he showed me several other options. In the end, the VW was the perfect fit. Drives smoothly, looks great and has low mileage. The purchasing process was a little long but I think it's standard cause there is a lot of paperwork involved. Jeff walked us through every step and even answered my questions after I already bought the car. Everyone in the dealership was very friendly and professional. I had a good experience and got a good car In a very very good condition!

The General Manager from this location has no skills with customer Kashani, Ashkam. Don't fall for their extended warranty!!!! Just read all other bad reviews about this place on yelp. Their employees at the work, doesn't seem to like helping customer. I have brake problems, They wouldn't even take care of that. That should be dangerous and illegal. Excellent experience. I live overseas but keep an almost-vintage 99' M3 that I own here.that sadly started stuttering on acceleration during my holiday. Mick was very personable, efficient, easily contactable. He and his mechanic kindly insisted on only repairing what was necessary and so the final charges were significantly less than the original estimated I had approved. Also was provided a complimentary electric i3 loaner car, to help me get around during my short visit back home, which was very neat.

When trying to buy the elusive white M2 I contacted virtually every BMW dealership in California before purchasing my car from BMW Encinitas. This was a big deal for me since I live in Santa Rosa which is hundreds of miles away from the dealership. Nevertheless I flew to San Diego where the dealer picked me up and drove me to my new car. Of course it was a lot of fun taking a couple of days to drive it home. However, that state of the dealership keep deteriorating. I went to new car showroom and was shocked!!! Everything in the place was DIRTY! Even the CARS. It now looks like a 2nd class operation with no pride. What a shame. Thank God we still have Keitth who seems to keep his profesional pride in a dealership that no longer makes me want to buy my next car there.

Unfortunately the service aspect seems to be declining. I've been taking my BMW's to Encinitas for almost 15 years and over the last few years the customer service aspect had gone down hill. Poor communication with regards to what is happening with your car. Customer should not be the one that had to call in to find out what is happening at the end of the day. The actual car service is great with BMW technicians is expect nothing less. Unfortunately BMW Encinitas had lost my car purchasing business about 6 years ago now it looks like they are going to lose my service business as well.

Having moved our X1 BMW from Maui, HI to California, we needed to get our car smog checked and a service check. The people that got the car said there was some addition program updates (software) and recall issues that had to be updated. I have been using BMW of San Diego for a number of years to service my car, but have become very unsatisfied with their Service Department with my last several visits. So, I decided to try BMW of Encinitas, and had a much better experience. The appointment making, dropping off the car, getting the loaner, and ultimately picking up my car all went very well. Art was a great Service Representative. I highly recommend BMW of Encinitas.

When I had complex questions about interstate purchase (CA to AZ) details regarding title, taxes, transport, etc, the manager barked at me: "Don't buy the car, go somewhere else." When I balked at the price, they arrogantly stated: "AutoNation does not negotiate." Two days later, they dropped the price several hundred so if that is not a negotiation, what is? Everyone is well dressed and buff and super sort of fake friendly but incapable or unwilling to actually do their jobs. It days of emails and texts to finally get documents I was legally entitled to at signing. The car itself was delayed four days while everyone took a long weekend slash vacation. When I called to complain to a manager, I was put through to the salesman who was falling down on the job to begin with.

When I began asking detailed questions about title transfer, paperwork and fees, the manager told me: "Don't buy the car, go somewhere else." I should have heeded his advice. Everybody pretends to be nice and helpful but once they have your money, they fail to deliver the promised paperwork and so far they have failed to deliver the car after four days. Still waiting.. I categorically condemn bmw encinitas as a dealer who fails to deliver, fails to communicate, and fails to tell the truth.

I've heard nothing but good things about Encinitas BMW in the past. I decided to stop by and check out leasing options for an X5. Their inventory was stacked. Juan helped me locate a car that had all the options I was looking for. This was my first leasing experience and everyone involved was straight forward and transparent. I couldn't imagine the process going any better. I would highly recommend Encinitas BMW if you're in the market.

Love BMW Encinatas! I live down in La Jolla but driving all the way up to this dealer is well worth it. They have much more availability and are always able to take the time to help you with any questions or servicing. I've been using Mike Voiles as my service rep for about 2 years now and refuse to see anyone else. He is always looking out for you anyway he can and can give great advice about your car. After any job is done he always takes the time to explain in depth of what was done and lets you know future things to look out for. I highly recommend Mike if your looking for an awesome service rep!

Craig was very helpful in introducing us to the car we liked. At the day of purchase we stayed till almost 11pm at night due to another customer long process of purchase. During the process, I met or worked with the GM, the vp of sales, finance and my sales rep that knew how to work well with my type "A" personality. Now trying to charge >$1,100 for changing out a defective alternator (I since ordered the original BOSCH part online for $172) seems beyond crazy. $1,000 for 1- 2 hours of labor? The guy costs you $45/h fully loaded with WC & payroll tax. G&A must be high but oh well.... I know, I know,....Beamers are for 1%-ers. What was I thinking?

If it hadn't been for Mike I would have given less stars. My experience had the makings of being 5 star but a goof by the person who scheduled me messed that up. It started off promising when I first called the service department to check on status of recalled airbag part (it'd been over a week since they told me they'd ordered it). It was late, after 6, so didn't get an answer so I hung up. Just a short time later that evening Nicholas from the service department calls me back. I was surprised since I never left a message (they must have went off caller ID). He says the part is in and we can come in that Saturday to get the work taken care of (est 1.5 hrs). I was pleased although somewhat disappointed that I had to call BMW to find out the part was in. To make this long story short, the part was not available for my car so the service appt was a waste of time. Here are the goods and bads after that: Good: -Got a full inspection of car plus fluids topped off for free -No pressure/made up stuff that I needed to have done (common at other mechanics) -Mike gave me a full detail coupon for my trouble Bads: -Despite part not being in, still took 1.5 hours -Service area of BMW Encinitas is cramped - could hardly get in there and difficult to get out of lot

I visited multiple BMW dealerships in San Diego and southern Orange County on my quest to find a 328i sedan that I was satisfied with option and price wise. I was not taken seriously by most due to my age. I came in contact with Ronaldo Boschi at BMW of Encinitas through the Internet sales department and couldn't be happier. I received excellent customer service from the minute I walked into the dealership all the way through singing the paperwork in the finance department. My experience at this dealership was far better than any either. I had searched for an m240i at 6 or 7 other dealerships better getting to this one and did not get the kind of service that I did hear. Sales manager responded to emails even on his days off and was prompt with responses.

Took my 640i convertible in for 1 year service. Overall, BMW Encinitas did a very good job performing the required maintenance and getting the car back in a reasonable amount of time. They did provide a loaner so the time to complete was less relevant. Thomas in service was very professional and thorough in his explanation of work done. Only negative comment would be the amount of time it took to bring the car up after I arrived. It was apparently stuck behind another parked car. No big deal but an area that could be improved on. Also took my wife's X5 in for repair of a damaged driver side mirror. Mike was very proactive in letting us know that we were near a maintenance point and the car also had some service campaigns to be completed. He provided my wife a loaner and we had the car back the next day. Throughout the service, Mike kept us informed of any changes to the anticipated costs and status of the work. We were both very impressed with Mike's customer first attitude.

We wanted body damage to our X3 repaired at a BMW center. The experience at BMW Encinitas was very good. They worked out all the details with the insurance company including authorization to replace a door rather than just repair it. Gerald Velasco called several times to update me on the progress of the work. The X3 looks great. We have also had top rated experiences with the Service Department.

I believe what made my experience great, was the opportunity to deal with Ms. Nicole Witzke (She is why I am sticking with this bmw dealership. True story), my super fantastic awesome BMW Service Manager. I dropped off my 4 Series, Grand Coupe, & she immediately got me in a 2016 X4 (in which my kids loved all the room in this vehicle! I may have to get this next time or the X5) temporarily as my vehicle was being serviced. Later, I received a call with Nicole notifying me of my worn out tired (they were basically bald. The 4 Series is tooooooooo much fun sometimes.). Anyway, with a family needing to keep safe, she recommended the Continental Run Flat series (if they puncture, I can still drive to my destination vs. being stranded) and she got me a discount based on a special the dealership was having (bought 3 tires and received 1 for free). How cool is that?!!! And before I forget, upon inspecting my vehicle, their BMW team noticed a fog light that had fallen out, the dealership fixed it with no charge to me. Now, that is awesome service! Nichole is awesome. The dealership is awesome. The employees were super (outgoing) nice. I also loved the 'Car' styled bucket seats in the service department. Cons: NO FREE DONUTS WITH SPRINKLES. Other than that, this is a fantastic group of professionals that me and my family trusts. (THANKS NICOLE!)

Took our 2009 335i convertible in for service and all work was preformed within a timely manner and we were given a loaner vehicle. Car came back clean and ready to go.

If you make the mistake of buying a car from this dealership, be prepared to have the WORST service imaginable !! Make an appointment -- but wait for over 1/2 hour. Spend a day without your own car, only to be told a part needed to be ordered (it takes an ENTIRE day to learn this ???) Wait for part to arrive, reschedule appointment (yet another day messed up!) -- only to find out the part isn't there (wrong part ordered) -- but it took 1/2 day to realize that !! Poorly managed place. I will never buy another car from this dealer. Do yourself a favor from the get-go -- shop elsewhere!

We went to BMW Encinitas for our latest BMW X5 and had the worst experience of life. I've had the worst customer service which was not only limited to bad customer service but me and my wife were insulted on multiple fronts. We talked to one of their managers "Justin Beck" because the manager whom we were dealing with originally was not in office. Justin was really impossible to talk to and couldn't accommodate our request that we will pick up the car on the next day instead of that day. These were his exact words on the phone "I would rather sell this car to someone else, don't waste my time. I don't have time to deal with you, I have better things to do". We found this very derogatory and racist, and anyone in our place would. I have had better service while buying a $6 car from toy store than a $60K car from BMW Encinitas. We hung up the phone and dealt with other people to proceed with the deal, since our old car didnt have much life in it. When we went to sign the contract for the car, we came across their finance manager "Eddie Alriz" who had a really bad attitude. With his utterly bad attitude, he gave half information while made us go to dealership twice for a contract which doesn't take more than 20mins to get finished. The only two good people we dealt with at dealership were Adham and Kim Rosenberry, if it were not them, we would not even have purchased the car.

They really helped me choose the car that was best for me. I have been going there once a month for the past year because I just could not decide on a car and they are very patient and want you to get the best out of your BMW. I finally got the 428i and I could not be more in love. Excellence customer service and excellent cars. If you're looking into getting a new or used BMW (which you really should), definitely go here. You won't regret it

worst dealership I've ever dealt with. Had a 9:30 appointment for a routine service. After 2 voice mail messages to the service "consultant" and a conversation with the person at the desk, i finally got a call back at 5:40 saying that they had not yet started on the car. Worst customer service on the planet. Worth driving a long distance to get someone else to work on your car

Always the best experience at BMW Of Encinitas. Jeremy in sale is the guy to go to for the best deal and the best service ever. Bought 6 cars in less then 2 years. Every time exceed the previous time. I don't get it how he can do it every time. I am a picky crazy guy and it amaze me how he continues to exceed my expectations. Thanks Jeremy. Bought a CPO 2013 BMW 335is last month. Beyond happy with the purchase. From the car itself (so fun) to the service provided by BMW Encinitas, everything is fantastic. Any questions or concerns have been resolved in a timely manner (example - had a consistent "battery is low" warning 1 month into purchase. They immediately gave me a loaner, tested and swapped the battery, no problem). I drive the extra 20 minutes from Oceanside to get my service done there, as I already consider a few of the employees as friends and know I can trust them.

We purchased our new M5 (our 4th BMW) from Juan Duff and the whole transaction was amazing. Juan brought us to all of the M5s available, described the different packages in each. He took us on an extended test drive, which allowed us to get a great feel for how the car would be on various daily driving activities.
